Job summary

Valley Bank is seeking a Lending Specialist in Tampa, FL to ensure smooth loan processing from approval to closing. You will coordinate with Relationship Managers, review closing docs, and work with operations for accurate funding and servicing.

Ideal candidates have up to 3 years in Lending Assistant or Loan Processor roles, strong communication, and familiarity with CRE and C&I loan documentation. This role is full-time in-office at our Tampa location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; up to 3 years Lending Assistant or Loan Processor experience.
• Knowledge of Commercial Real Estate and C&I loan documentation preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison and primary point of contact with customers from approval to closing.
• Manage deal flow with Relationship Managers to ensure timely closings.
• Coordinate and review closing documentation with stakeholders for due diligence and compliance.
• Assist with transaction flow, escalating issues and designing solutions for controls.
• Coordinate with operations teams to ensure proper booking and daily cash positions.
• Ensure initial loan funding and ongoing life-of-loan activity is correctly processed.
• Review loan documents for closing accuracy and communicate issues to lenders.
