Job summary

Bank of Marin seeks a Loan Processing Associate to join our Consumer Lending team on-site in Novato, CA or Rancho Cordova, CA. The role supports Loan Officers by processing consumer loan applications promptly and accurately, verifying assets, employment, liabilities, and ordering title reports, insurance, and loan documents.

We require a AA degree or equivalent and 2–4 years of banking experience; proficiency in Word and Excel; knowledge of mortgage processes and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
  • 2–4 years of banking experience or equivalent training.
  • Experience with mortgage processes and title/credit reports is beneficial.
  • Proficient with Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Process consumer loan applications in conjunction with Consumer Loan Officers.
  • Verify assets, employment, liabilities, and order title reports, insurance, and loan documents.
  • Enter data into the Loan Origination System and ensure regulatory compliance.

Bank of Marin, voted by our employees as one of the “Best Places to Work” in the North Bay Business Journal, is seeking a Loan Processing Associate to join our Consumer Lending team on-site in Novato, California or Rancho Cordova, California.


The Loan Processing Associate is a support position that works in conjunction with Consumer Loan Officers in processing consumer loan applications in an efficient and timely manner. This position is responsible for following loan lending guidelines, processes and procedures including verifying assets, employment, liabilities, ordering title reports, insurance and loan documents on applications they have been assigned. In addition, this position reviews all data submitted with loan applications to ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and then enters the data into the Loan Origination System.


Requirements


  • Ability to calculate basic loan payment amounts.

  • Ability to understand title and credit bureau reports.

  • Proficient computer skills with specific knowledge of Word and Excel.

  • Banking or mortgage experience necessary.


Professional Experience


  • 2 - 4 year’s relevant banking experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Educational/Professional Experience


  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience and/or training.


The hiring pay range for this position is $25.74 to $34.73. In addition to the pay range listed, all bank positions are eligible for incentive compensation, which varies based on role. The pay rate for a successful applicant depends on a variety of factors including but not limited to geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
