Under the direction of the Branch and/or Production Manager, the Loan Originator markets and promotes PrimeLending products and services to clients including realtors, builders, bank officers, and potential and past clients. The role involves managing or supporting general business operations related to mortgage lending.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate PrimeLending’s and other loan products to determine the best financial solutions for customers.
- Establish and maintain relationships with realtors, bank officers, builders, and sales representatives, including visiting subdivisions as needed.
- Market and promote PrimeLending’s financial products.
- Meet company production standards by processing complete and accurate loan applications within PrimeLending’s product set.
- Manage customer interactions from application to closing, including counseling and pre-qualifying buyers.
- Analyze customer financial information, including income, assets, investments, and debts.
- Advise customers on different loan options, outlining advantages and disadvantages.
- Service existing customers, gather necessary documents, fees, and lock-in information.
- Monitor loan process, ensure compliance with terms, and communicate status to all parties.
- Present loan terms and conditions to customers.
- Stay informed about local real estate trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes.
- Maintain a professional image and adhere to company policies.
- Potentially supervise other loan officers, assistants, or processors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant licenses as required by state.
- Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
- At least 12 months of loan originator experience.
- Ability to interact with regional and corporate departments, realtors, builders, appraisers, etc.
- Strong judgment, decision-making, and communication skills, verbal and written.
- Ability to analyze large data sets and utilize mortgage software technology.
- Active community involvement and professional networking.
- Commitment to ongoing industry knowledge development.
