Job summary

Redwood Trust, Inc. is seeking a Senior Sales Assistant (Production Analyst) to maximize the productivity of Senior Relationship Managers by handling pipeline management, borrower communications, Salesforce administration, and document collection.

This developmental role provides analytical support for larger transactions and path to grow into an RM (Originator). You'll work across processing, underwriting, and operations to keep loans moving and will coordinate marketing outreach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in business, finance, real estate, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in mortgage lending, commercial lending, banking, or financial services.
• Experience supporting loan originators, sales teams, or relationship managers.
• Working knowledge of mortgage lending (commercial or residential).
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial information.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day sales support to maximize RM time for prospecting and originating loans.
• Manage inbound applications and coordinate loan intake.
• Serve as the primary contact for borrower follow-up throughout the application process.
• Collect, track, and resolve outstanding documentation.
• Coordinate with processing, underwriting, operations, and servicing teams to move transactions.
• Monitor pipeline status and identify stalled files.
• Maintain Salesforce records, pipeline updates, and activity tracking.
• Generate pipeline reports and assist with forecasting.
• Coordinate calendars, prospect meetings, and follow-up activities.
• Protect the RM's prospecting schedule by minimizing admin interruptions.
• Assist with post-closing follow-up and extension/refinance opportunities.
• Support larger/complex opportunities with underwriting input and cash flow analyses.
