Qualifications

• 7–10 years of U.S. banking operations experience involving supervision of loan operations and letters of credit.

• Strong organization, prioritization, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach a Loan Operations Specialist and set performance goals.
• Oversee loan documentation, funding, disbursements, payments, renewals, participations, and lines of credit.
• Process letters of credit issuance/negotiations and conduct first-checker reviews.
• Handle documentary and DIR collections and investment transactions.
• Provide backup coverage for ACH, wires, SWIFT, and end-of-day balancing.
• Support FX and treasury back-office processing, confirmations, settlements.
• Enforce banking controls, identify operational risks, and drive improvements.

We are recruiting on behalf of a banking client seeking a bilingual operations professional to supervise loan and trade finance processing while remaining directly involved in daily execution. The role combines staff development, transaction processing, operational controls, and coordination with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach a Loan Operations Specialist, establish performance goals, and improve workflow execution.
• Handle loan documentation, funding, disbursements, payments, renewals, participations, and lines of credit.
• Process letters of credit issuance and negotiations, perform first-checker document reviews, and prepare letters of credit-specific SWIFT messages.
• Process documentary and DIR collections and investment transactions.
• Provide backup coverage for ACH processing and returns, wire transfers and investigations, SWIFT queue monitoring, and end-of-day balancing.
• Support foreign exchange and treasury back-office processing, confirmations, securities transactions, and settlement payments as needed.
• Execute applicable banking controls, identify operational risks, and support process improvements.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of U.S. banking operations experience involving supervision of loan operations and letters of credit.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
• Bachelor's degree; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Strong organization, prioritization, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.

Preferred Experience

• U.S. banking regulatory experience, ideally 7-10+ years, including OFAC, BSA/AML, Regulation E, and related requirements.
• Datapro e-IBS, Ocean Systems Fedlink and EDD Services, and Fedline or SWIFT experience.
