Base pay range

$110,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

Loan Officer (Remote) - EST or CST time zone preferred - origination/underwriting/closing / 20% bonus potential

We are seeking a motivated and talented Loan Officer to join our dynamic, fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in loan origination, credit experience, and knowledge of all loan types. Initially, the focus will be on charter schools and other educational institutions, with the potential for expansion into other community facility asset classes. Responsibilities

• Evaluating and analyzing loan applications, including the collection and organization of supporting financial documents from applicants.
• Assisting clients throughout the loan application process, providing guidance and answering questions to ensure a smooth and successful application experience.
• Utilizing your knowledge of all loan types – working capital, acquisition, renovation, new construction – to best serve our clients’ needs.
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs, and providing tailored loan solutions.
• Collaborating with other team members to ensure the timely processing and closing of loans.
• Keeping up-to-date with current industry trends, regulations, and lending practices to ensure compliance and best practice.
• Initially focusing on charter schools or other school types, with the potential to expand into other community facility asset classes like early childhood education, workforce development, and workforce housing.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a loan officer or similar role, with a strong understanding of loan origination and credit.
• Experience with all loan types – working capital, acquisition, renovation, and new construction.
• Proven experience in collecting and organizing supporting financial documents from applicants.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial information.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on a thorough analysis of information.
• Knowledge of the education sector, specifically charter schools or other school types, would be advantageous.
• Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• A commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
