Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Loan Officer Assistant based in India to provide high-level operational and administrative support to our U.S.-based Loan Officers. This remote role is critical to ensuring a smooth and timely loan processing experience for our clients. You will be responsible for managing documentation, coordinating communications, and supporting backend workflow— without involvement in sales or client origination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support U.S. Loan Officers in organizing, tracking, and maintaining loan files from application to close.
- Handle documentation collection, review, and internal system uploads to ensure compliance and completeness.
- Act as a liaison between internal underwriting, processing, and closing teams to facilitate next steps in the loan lifecycle.
- Monitor and manage email communications, follow-up tasks, and operational checklists.
- Perform data entry, status updates, and loan file audits within CRM and LOS platforms.
- Prepare summaries and reports to assist the U.S. team with borrower updates and internal coordination.
- Stay up to date on company policies, underwriting guidelines, and U.S. loan documentation standards.
- Support process improvement initiatives and help document SOPs for repeatable loan support functions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of professional experience in loan processing, financial services, or administrative operations.
- Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Proficiency with productivity tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and CRM platforms (Salesforce, etc.)
- Experience working in U.S.-based mortgage or lending environments is a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced setting with overlapping U.S. hours (at least 4 hours/day).
