About the Loan Officer Assistant position:

As a Loan Officer Assistant at SEB Mortgage, you will play a crucial role in supporting the loan process for our clients. You will be responsible for assisting borrowers in gathering required information and completing necessary documents, coordinating with internal parties, and ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements. This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Location: Remote in the USA.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as an ongoing point of contact for clients.
  2. Help clients collect required information and complete necessary documents.
  3. Answer clients’ questions and provide updates throughout the loan process.
  4. Make initial contact and follow up with potential clients.
  5. Document and Application Management:
  6. Accept and review loan applications.
  7. Gather information for new loan underwriting, including credit reports, tax filings, business entity searches, and title work.
  8. Ensure loan documentation complies with federal and state requirements.
  9. File necessary paperwork and manage closing documents.
  10. Review delinquent accounts and attempt to collect debts.
  11. Coordination and Communication:
  12. Assist and coordinate with internal parties involved in the loan application process, such as mortgage loan officers, underwriters, and realtors.
  13. Facilitate communication between clients and internal departments to ensure smooth processing.
  14. Compliance and Reporting:
  15. Ensure all loan documentation meets federal and state regulatory requirements.
  16. Maintain organized loan files and ensure proper documentation.
  17. Provide administrative support to loan officers, including managing schedules and handling tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience in mortgage lending or a related field, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
  2. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and concisely.
