Job summary

Guarantee Mortgage is seeking experienced Loan Originators in San Francisco or Marin to assist families in navigating home financing. Successful candidates will have exceptional sales skills, a problem-solving mindset, and NMLS certification.

The Loan Originator will be responsible for interviewing clients, processing applications, discussing loan alternatives, and maintaining communication with borrowers. A minimum of three years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have NMLS certification.
• At least 3 years of previous experience in loan origination or a similar field.
• Strong sales skills and a problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

Job Description

In order to be successful at Guarantee Mortgage, you have to be motivated, self-disciplined, and team oriented.

• Interviews, takes applications, and processes preliminary documentation on loan requests. Discusses loan alternatives, credit criteria, interest rates, and loan documentation in such a manner as to elicit positive responses from borrowers.
• Performs follow-up work as necessary to achieve conditional approval within established time frames.
• Communicates with the borrower regarding the loan status.
• Answers questions and requests, and resolves problems.
• Attends and participates in meetings and committees as required.
• Completes necessary education requirements offered by the company.

Qualifications

In order to be successful, we are looking for driven, tenacious, problem solver, sales people. You need to have your NMLS and it would be ideal if you have 3+ years of prior experience.
