Responsibilities

• Complete loan funding for consumer and commercial loans within origination and core banking systems.

• Ensure accurate review of loan documents and disclosures.
• Provide required documents to members at closings and support fund transfers.
• Perform post-funding activities including UCC filings and document retention.
• Coordinate with loans origination and servicing teams for efficient processes.
• Maintain and organize loan documentation in CMS and third-party systems.
• Handle special projects and respond to member inquiries promptly.
• Close and fund loans in compliance with SLAs and standards.

Position Overview:

The Loan Funding Specialist completes loan funding processes for consumer and commercial loans. This position will be required to review, fund, and process the funding of all consumer and commercial loans in the organization’s portfolio.

What You Will Do:

• Complete loan fundings process for consumer and commercial loans within origination system(s) and core banking system
• Prepare loan documentation for new commercial loans and commercial loan renewals
• Ensure proper documentation of any missing or erroneous information identified
• Conduct a thorough review of full loan documents, including but not limited to loan applications, disclosures, member documentation, and supporting documents
• Provide members with any necessary documentation at closings on all loans
• Execute post-funding related processes for fund transfers, UCC filings, document storage and retention, and error management
• Maintains effective coordination and communication with loan origination and other servicing departments to ensure efficient processes
• Assist with proper storage and retention of loan documentation within the content management system
• Maintain loan documentation within third-party system to meet pledging requirements
• Work on special projects and assignments as appointed by management
• Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly, and accurate manner
• Complete loan closing and funding processes while meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Ensure full compliance with Vibrant's financial service standards, policies, Bank Secrecy Act, and NCUA rules and regulations

Requirements

Our Ideal Candidate:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years' experience working in consumer loan review, lending, or credit administration
• Understanding of commercial lending practices and collateral documentation
• Experience with core banking systems, phone and ticketing systems, and loan origination platforms
• Working knowledge of compliance and lending laws and regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The daily responsibilities of this position

constantly require effective talking, hearing, walking, finger dexterity, reaching, stooping, and grasping functions. The position also often requires reaching and lifting (up to 25 pounds). Frequent sitting, standing, and repetitive motion activities are also required. Must be able to read print and computer-based materials and to do so with consistent accuracy. Most of these functions require light physical exertion and are conducted indoors at controlled degrees of temperature.
