Job summary

First Mid Bancshares, Inc. in Mattoon, IL is seeking a Loan Servicing Support Associate to centralize support for loan and insurance documentation after closures.

The role includes reception, review, imaging, filing and research to resolve issues and support bank operations. Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma and 2+ years in clerical or banking work, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of clerical or banking experience preferred.
• Insurance experience pertaining to Commercial and Consumer customers is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Opens, reviews and disburses daily mail and courier items to the appropriate employees.
• Reviews documentation for appropriate signatures and completeness.
• Reviews and images properly perfected vehicle titles received within the department.
• Assists in obtaining updated insurance information or verifying adequate coverage amounts to protect the bank's interest.
• Utilizes resources to identify, research and resolve routine customer issues.
• Collaborate with loan officers and support staff to address issues with loan documentation or processes.
• Offers resources and information to loan support staff on proper submission of documentation.
• Provide guidance to loan support staff on proper documentation submission.
• Images documentation by doc type and completes keyword entries to facilitate future research.
• Reviews Appraisals and Invoices for imaging in Collateral 360.
• Files loan documents required to be maintained in paper form in the vault.
• Maintain loan files in an organized manner and schedules reviews for purging.
• Conducts bi-annual audit of collateral cabinets, communicating with loan officers as needed.
• Reviews, images, purges and assembles loan files received from acquired banks.
• Reviews and images insurance documentation received by the department.
• Monitors internal reports following up with the appropriate staff on missing items, adding exceptions for tracking and follow-up when necessary.
• Maintains up to date processes and procedure documentation utilized for daily tasks.
