Job summary

Bank of Hawaii is seeking a detail-oriented Loan Documentation Specialist in Honolulu to review loan requests for completeness and accuracy, prepare required documents, and ensure compliance with bank standards. You will book and disburse loans, perform quality control and SOX reviews, and handle related lease/document processing.

Responsibilities include maintaining dealer relationships, auditing documents for compliance (Reg Z, CIP, CDD, CRA), coordinating imaging, and assisting with lease

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 0–2 years of college or equivalent work experience.
• Level I: 1–2 years banking experience with loan/lease knowledge.
• Level II: 1 year loan documentation experience or 3–4 years banking with loans knowledge.
• Level III: 5–7 years loan documentation or banking industry experience.
• Level IV: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 7 years documentation experience in consumer, leasing, commercial, and real estate loans.
• Proficiency with PCs in a networked environment and MS Office; knowledge of IBS Insight, MeridianLink, TruStage, LaserPro, DocuSign.
• Strong verbal and written communication; analytical, detail-oriented; able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Reviews loan and lease requests for completeness and accuracy per product and bank standards.
• Prepares and performs quality control reviews of documents for signing.
• Maintains relationships with Dealer clients and audits documents for compliance requirements.
• Assists customers with lease servicing and provides welcome letters and payment coupons.
• Disburses loan and lease requests and ensures accurate posting and SOX notes.
• Consolidates information from branches and title companies and reviews title policies.
• Performs posting booking maintenance and SOX quality control reviews.
• Supports department goals and other duties as assigned.
