Job summary

Yoakum Bank seeks a detail-oriented Loan Operations Specialist for its Yoakum or San Antonio location. You will ensure accurate loan documentation, book loans, monitor exceptions, and support lending operations across the organization.

Ideal candidates have strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency with Word/Excel/Outlook, and familiarity with LaserPro, Abrigo, or Silverlake is a plus. Full-time, Monday–Friday, with benefits including insurance, PTO, and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy focus and strong communication.
• Experience reading and applying loan docs and regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain loan documentation and loan files.
• Perform loan booking and quality control reviews for accuracy.
• Monitor and update loan exception tracking items.
• Work daily loan operations reports and resolve items.
• Process paid loan files, including releases of collateral.
• Review loan docs and verify lien perfection.
• Manage escrow processing for taxes and insurance with agents/counties.
• Support Lenders, Lending Assistants, Credit Analysts, and Retail staff.
• Assist with payment posting and other loan servicing tasks.
• Perform other duties to support department operations.

We are seeking a Loan Operations Specialist in one of our 2 locations: San Antonio or Yoakum

Position: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Yoakum Bank is looking for a detail-oriented, dependable, and service-minded Loan Operations Specialist. If you enjoy working behind the scenes to ensure loans are prepared and closed accurately, staying organized, and supporting both customers and bank staff, we encourage you to apply.

In this role, you will help maintain the quality and accuracy of the Bank's loan portfolio by reviewing loan documentation, booking loans, monitoring exceptions, performing quality control reviews, and supporting lending operations throughout the organization.

What You'll Do

• Maintain loan documentation and loan files.
• Perform loan booking and quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor and update loan exception tracking items.
• Work daily loan operations reports and resolve outstanding items.
• Process paid loan files, including preparing releases of collateral.
• Review loan documentation and verify proper lien perfection.
• Manage escrow processing for taxes and insurance, including communication with insurance agents and county offices.
• Provide support to Lenders, Lending Assistants, Credit Analysts, and Retail staff.
• Assist with payment posting and other loan servicing functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support efficient department operations.

• Experience with LaserPro Documents, Abrigo, and/or Silverlake (JH) is a plus.
• A high school diploma or equivalent required.

Previous banking or loan operations experience is preferred; however, individuals with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
