Responsibilities

• Review and verify loan documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, title companies and borrowers to obtain missing documentation.
• Prepare closing packages per lender guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Schedule and facilitate the closing process and inform all parties of roles.
• Ensure accurate disbursement of loan proceeds.
• Confirm all documents are signed, notarized, and returned promptly.
• Resolve issues identified pre-, during-, or post-closing.
• Update records in the CRM system.
• Stay updated with industry standards and regulatory changes.

CSP is partnering with a privately held real estate lender in their search for a Loan Closer. This individual will be an integral member of the team, responsible for preparing, verifying, and finalizing loan packages before disbursement of funds. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to ensure the timely closing of loans.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify loan documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, title companies and borrowers to obtain any missing documentation or clarification.
• Prepare closing packages in accordance with lender guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Schedule and facilitate the closing process, ensuring all parties are informed of their roles and responsibilities.
• Ensure the accurate disbursement of loan proceeds.
• Confirm all necessary documents are signed, notarized, and returned promptly.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies identified prior to, during, or post-closing.
• Update and maintain accurate records in the company provided customer relationship manager (CRM) system.
• Stay updated with the latest industry standards, trends, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Loan Closer or in a related role.
• Proficient knowledge of state and federal regulations related to real estate lending.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency with technology software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously.
• Familiarity with private money lending practices is a plus.
