Job summary

JCW Group is seeking a senior Commercial Loan Closer in Irvine, CA to coordinate and close complex loan transactions in accordance with approved terms, internal policies, and regulatory requirements, with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

The candidate will work closely with attorneys, title companies, borrowers, and internal credit/legal teams, reviewing approvals, commitment letters, title commitments, liens, and other due diligence to ensure flawless closings and compliant funding.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial loan closing experience
• Strong knowledge of commercial real estate and lending transactions
• Experience reviewing title commitments, lien searches, and closing documentation
• Ability to manage multiple transactions in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Experience coordinating with attorneys, title companies, and internal teams

Job description

We are currently partnered with a banking institution in the search for a senior level Commercial Loan Closer. This individual will be responsible for coordinating and closing complex commercial loan transactions in accordance with approved loan terms, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience handling commercial loan closings (Commercial Real Estate experience is a plus), working directly with attorneys, title companies, borrowers, and internal credit/legal teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage commercial loan closings from approval through funding
• Review loan approvals, commitment letters, and credit documentation to ensure closing requirements are satisfied
• Prepare and review closing checklists and required documentation
• Work with outside counsel, borrowers, relationship managers, and title companies to facilitate timely closings
• Review title commitments, surveys, insurance, UCC filings, organizational documents, and other due diligence items
• Ensure compliance with loan terms, regulatory requirements, and internal bank procedures
• Coordinate funding and booking of loans with internal operations teams
• Resolve pre-closing and post-closing documentation issues
• Maintain accurate loan files and closing records

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial loan closing experience within a bank or financial institution
• Strong knowledge of commercial real estate and commercial & industrial lending transactions
• Experience reviewing title commitments, lien searches, and closing documentation
• Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred

• Prior paralegal or law firm experience
• Experience working with loan documentation attorneys and title/settlement processes
