Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process commercial loan documentation while ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Collect and review due diligence items including title commitments, entity docs, tax certificates, flood determinations, and closing requirements.
• Ensure documentation supports proper lien perfection and loan closing requirements.
• Review commercial real estate and construction loan files for accuracy and completeness.
• Verify required documentation and track outstanding documents.
• Maintain loan data in the bank's core operating system.
• Collaborate with lenders, attorneys, title companies, and internal teams to facilitate closings.
• Manage timelines and ensure closing conditions are met.
• Review closing packages for completeness and accuracy.
• Process initial loan disbursements per closing instructions.
• Board loans and update loan information in systems.
• Ensure timely funding of transactions.

LHH is partnering with a well-established financial institution who is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Loan Closer to join its Commercial & Construction Lending team. This position plays a critical role in supporting commercial real estate and construction lending transactions from documentation through funding and post-closing servicing. This is an excellent opportunity for a banking professional who enjoys complex commercial transactions, working closely with lenders and title companies, and ensuring a seamless customer experience throughout the closing process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare, review, and process commercial loan documentation while ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Collect and review required due diligence items including title commitments, entity documentation, tax certificates, flood determinations, and related closing requirements.
• Ensure all documentation supports proper lien perfection and loan closing requirements.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of commercial real estate and construction loan files.
• Verify accuracy and completeness of required documentation.
• Track and manage outstanding and trailing documents.
• Maintain accurate loan data within the bank's core operating system.
• Partner with lenders, attorneys, title companies, and internal stakeholders to facilitate successful closings.
• Manage transaction timelines and ensure all closing conditions are satisfied.
• Review closing packages for completeness and accuracy.
• Process initial loan disbursements according to approved closing instructions.
• Board loans and update loan information within internal banking systems.
• Ensure timely and accurate funding of transactions.
• Provide exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
• Respond promptly to questions and requests throughout the closing process.
• Maintain high standards for quality, accuracy, and productivity.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field preferred.
• 7+ years of commercial loan closing, processing, funding, title, or legal experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial real estate lending, construction lending, and related regulatory requirements.
• Experience reviewing and proofreading commercial loan documentation, including:
• Promissory Notes
• Deeds of Trust
• Security Agreements
• Corporate Entity Documents
• Experience with banking loan documentation software and core banking systems is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
