Job summary

Responsibilities

• Completes loan support accounting and GL functions for new and renewed loans
• Ensure Loan GL Recons are managed daily
• Upload payoff and release documentation to Imaging System
• Update collateral records to reflect releases/changes
• Prepare forms and enter loan transactions into the core system
• Prepare lien releases and route to processing
• Review closing packages for codes and figures
• Track accounts payable invoices for loans; research discrepancies
• Update Core and Ancillary Systems for loan reporting and reconciliation
• Verify loan information for accuracy and compliance
• Handle SLAs: GL corrections, GL/Loan research, loan transactions
• Assist training of less experienced staff and manage workflow during high volumes
• Cross-trains to learn other duties and support auditors

The bank is searching for a Loan Accounting Analyst who will be responsible for delivering high-level and quality customer service.

Interact closely with internal operations staff and accounting to support the ongoing servicing of new and renewed loans and maintain the Bank’s loan files in accordance with the Bank’s policy and legal requirements.

Work Experience

Duties/Responsibilities

Completes loan support accounting and GL functions for new and renewed loans-

• Ensure that the Loan GL Recons provided by the Accounting Department are managed daily.
• Ensures payoff and release documentation is timely uploaded to the Imaging System.
• Ensures the collateral records in the loan accounting system are properly updated to reflect any released or changed collateral.
• Prepare the forms for input into the loan accounting system. Prepares and enters loan transactions into the Bank’s core to help ensure costs associated with the loan are posted to the correct general ledger accounts.
• Prepares lien releases and sends them to the appropriate party for processing.
• Review closing packages for codes and figures
• Tracks accounts payable invoices for loans and research when payment inconsistencies arise.
• Updates Core and Ancillary Systems to accurately affect loan reporting and daily reconciliation
• Verifies loan information by comparing data and confirming that the coding is accurate and in compliance with the Bank’s policy and legal requirements.

Performs transactions and manages request queues to meet department SLAs, such as

• GL corrections
• GL Research
• Loan Research
• Loan Transactions

Assist with training less experienced staff in department processes and procedures-

• Helps manage workflow during high volumes
• Leads organization efforts within the department to help streamline processes
• Skilled at bank loan transactions and practices
• Suggests solutions and assistance with the implementation of new processes and procedures
• Works with accounting to research transactions and reconciliation of loan GLs

Other Duties as Assigned, such as

• Assists with special projects.
• Cross-trains to learn other job duties within the department
• Participates in any department activities to promote efficiency and quality
• Provides documents for internal and external auditors
