Job summary

Samaritan's Purse in Greensboro, NC, seeks a Loadmaster to join the Mission Aviation Services team. You will develop and validate aircraft load plans to ensure weight and balance, cargo placement, and safety.

Travel 50–100 days per year; deploy with missions and supervise loading operations while ensuring FAA and GOM compliance. A Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years’ experience are required, with strong teamwork and safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years related experience or equivalent.
• Broad understanding of aviation Loadmaster responsibilities and hazardous materials requirements.
• Strong safety mindset and professional judgment.
• Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and adapt to change.
• Strong teamwork in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate aircraft load plans to ensure weight balance and proper cargo placement.
• Review load plans with Pilot-in-Command and coordinate with aircraft crew.
• Oversee loading and securing of cargo during missions and deployments.
• Ensure compliance with FAA, GOM, safety and hazardous materials rules.
• Train and supervise loadmasters, loaders, and volunteers.
