Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Loading, Shipping and Receiving Associate for 1st shift in Anchorage, AK. The role runs 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM with potential overtime based on operations. Base pay ranges from $21.00 to $23.00 per hour, with full-time benefits starting on day one.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of manufacturing experience, a valid driver’s license, and basic computer skills. Forklift experience is a plus, and crane experience is trainable.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other lifting equipment safely.
• Assist with inventory counts and ensure parts are properly crated and secured for transport.
• Follow safety rules and continuously seek productivity improvements.
• Read and follow posted schedules and work overtime as needed.
• Inspect work for defects and support quality systems requirements.

JOB DETAILS

Base pay rate is $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

1st Shift Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, hours may vary depending on operations

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understands and follows safety rules and precautions in a manufacturing environment.
• Employs a range of crating and packaging resources, including metal bands and protective coverings, to ensure parts are securely fastened and safeguarded during transport.
• Proficient in operating forklifts and other lifting equipment.
• Responsible for each lift, deciding when to check actual vs maximum allowable trailer load.
• Assists with inventory counts as required
• Maintains practices for continuous improvement within the work area.
• Inspect work visually for defects according to Quality Systems
• Provide cost‑saving suggestions and ideas to improve productivity and eliminate waste
• Willing/able to work overtime
• Ability read, write, and follow posted schedules
• May be assigned other projects or tasks by the team leader
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Valid Driver License
• A minimum of one year of related work experience in manufacturing or comparable work environment
• Good Communication Skills
• Basic Computer Skills
• Forklift experience a plus / Must be trainable on forklift
• Crane experience a plus / Must be trainable on crane
• Flexible with working overtime and weekends when needed
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Ability to work in a non‑temperature‑controlled environment
• Some knowledge of a manufacturing environment
