Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Loader, Non-Formula to support our warehouse operations in Hickory, NC. You will transport goods using forklifts or pallet jacks, prepare outgoing freight, and ensure accurate loading sequences with attention to safety and quality.

The role requires physical work in multi-temperature environments, adherence to schedules, and the ability to work overtime as needed. Join a team focused on efficient distribution and customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Ability to work scheduled times and overtime as required.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift, lifting 10–35 lbs and up to 60–90 lbs depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Transport items to be shipped into trailers with forklift, pallet jack, or by hand following a loading plan.
• Move outgoing products from staging area to loading dock with forklift.
• Wrap pallets and ensure shipping labels are in place.
• Locate proper slots on trailers and secure loads.
• Remove empty pallets and packing materials to proper areas.
• Inspect pallets for damage and move them to storage.
• Perform housekeeping and keep area clean and safe.
• Follow safety policies and report unsafe conditions.
• Prepare for operations with required supplies and safety checks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
