Job summary

Epiroc in Two Harbors, MN is hiring a Welder to join our onsite manufacturing team. The role focuses on welding components for heavy hydraulic attachments, aligning with AWS D1.1 standards, and maintaining a safe, efficient shop floor.

You will collaborate with supervision, document processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The position is safety-sensitive and requires attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of basic weld symbols on blueprints.
• Basic computer skills: MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Comfortable with standard repair and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Welds all components to manufacture heavy hydraulic attachments following AWS D1.1 standards.
• Layout, fit-up, measurement, and tack welds.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area per 5S standards.
• Communicate with supervisors and coworkers.
• Document standard work processes and contribute to quality improvements.
• Complete shop orders and follow production schedule for timely delivery.

The Welder’s primary responsibility is the welding of all components to manufacture heavy hydraulic attachments.

Work Type (Onsite): This position will be based onsite at our Two Harbors, MN facility. This job opening is not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship

$1,200 sign on bonus!

Responsibilities:

• Perform GMAW/MIG/Wire feed welding to AWS D1.1. standards
• Perform standard work and tasks common in a production welding environment following LaBounty procedures, quality and safety policies.
• Layout, fit-up, measure, and tack weldments.
• Arc air welding (experience beneficial, will train).
• Use of PPE (personal protective equipment) and adherence to all safety programs and policies
• Must be able to communicate fully with supervisor(s) and coworker(s).
• Assist in documenting standard work procedures and provide feedback and suggestions to continuously improve the quality of manufacturing processes.
• Closeout shop orders and follow the production schedule to facilitate timely part delivery/availability
• Maintain a safe and organized work area, including end-of-shift clean up in accordance with 5S standards.
• Perform autonomous maintenance for daily equipment functionality.
• This is a Safety-sensitive position.

The salary for this position is between $22.00 and $34.00 hourly, depending on experience and qualifications. This range reflects our commitment to fair pay based on skills, experience, and market standards.

Knowledge/Education:

• Associate’s degree preferred
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of basic weld symbols on blueprints.
• Basic computer skills, MS-Office: MS Windows – Excel, Word & Outlook
• Comfortable and knowledgeable use of standard repair and hand tools

Skills and Abilities:

• Able to use a tape measure, level, angle finders and squares
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral procedures and directions.
• Ability to handle all materials safely using a Jib hoist, overhead crane, and forklifts, including lifting devices (chains, straps, slings)
• An eye for details and precision
• Ability to operate all welding equipment if assigned.
• Continuous standing and walking.
• Intermittent bending/twisting, pushing/pulling, climbing, lifting/lowering. Intermittent use of hand/wrist.
• Ability to safely handle materials using cranes, hoists, forklifts, chains, and slings is required
