Job summary

Epiroc is hiring a Material Handler for our Manchester, IA facility. Under supervision, you will support daily material movement, inventory control, and safe forklift operation to keep operations flowing.

This role is onsite during 1st shift and does not sponsor immigration/work visas. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong attention to detail, and experience in inventory management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Attention to detail—spotting labeling errors, damaged goods, or misplaced items.
• Inventory management—tracking, organizing, and maintaining stock levels.
• Mathematical accuracy in counts.
• Time management—meeting deadlines and workflow efficiency.
• Strong communication with team and supervisors.
• Forklift certification or related equipment operation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Execute inventory location assignments and deliveries, operating forklifts safely.
• Perform receiving inspections and direct goods to departments or storage.
• Identify safety hazards and propose corrective actions.
• Adhere to safety protocols to protect all team members.

Under the direction of the Value Stream Leader and Senior Team Leader, the Material Handler assists in the daily operation of the department with primary emphasis on distribution of material and control of inventory.

Work Type:

Responsibilities:

• Executed inventory location assignments and job order deliveries, operating forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials.
• Conducted receiving inspections to verify goods before directing them to appropriate departments or storage areas
• Tasked with identifying safety challenges, developing practical solutions, recognizing potential hazards, and recommending corrective actions.
• Adhered to company safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment for all team members.
• Obtained forklift certification.

Knowledge/Education:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Attention to detail—spotting labeling errors, damaged goods, or misplaced items
• Inventory management—tracking, organizing, and maintaining stock levels.
• Mathematical – ensuring counts and accuracy
• Time management—meeting deadlines and keeping workflows efficient.

Skills and Abilities:

• Candidates must be able to read and write clearly, with effective verbal and written communication skills
• Forklift and pallet jack operation – Safely moving heavy materials is a must.
• Shipping and receiving – Handling incoming and outgoing goods accurately.
