Epiroc Industrial Tools and Attachments LLC is hiring a Robotic Weld Operator to join our manufacturing team in Dexter, Michigan. This role operates, maintains, and troubleshoots robotic welding equipment to meet quality and production targets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 4 years' experience as a welder and fitter.
• Advanced knowledge of blueprints and welding symbols.
• Demonstrated skill level in MIG welding.
• Welder certification test passage required.
• Attention to detail is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain robotic welder to produce quality parts and perform preventive maintenance.
• Assist with equipment changeovers and understand robotic controller functions.
• Update Rev Counters and collaborate with the Work Cell Controller (WCC).
• Program basic robot functions and coordinate weld changes with Manufacturing Engineering.
• Weld parts per blueprint specs using gas-shielded MIG welding and fixtures.
• Rework products and reprogram the robot for quality results as needed.
• Handle inventory and computer transactions and perform 5S duties.

Join Our Team as a Robotic Welder at Epiroc!

Epiroc is seeking an experienced Robotic Weld Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting robotic welding equipment to ensure quality, safety, and production objectives are achieved. The ideal candidate will bring strong welding expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Work Type (Onsite): This position will be based onsite at our Dexter, MI, facility. This job opening is not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship

Shift Timings: We are looking to hire for three open positions across multiple shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain robotic welder to produce quality parts, performing preventive maintenance as required.
• Assist with equipment changeovers and demonstrate understanding of robotic controller functions.
• Update Rev Counters and work with the Work Cell Controller (WCC).
• Program basic robot functions and collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering on weld changes.
• Perform all types of welding, layout, fit, and weld components per blueprint specifications without fixtures.
• Set up and operate a gas-shielded MIG welder to meet blueprint specs.
• Use advanced knowledge of blueprints and welding symbols for job completion.
• Rework products using various tools and reprogram the robot if necessary for quality results.
• Execute inventory and computer transactions.
• Perform 5S duties to maintain workplace standards.

Knowledge/Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 4 years' experience as a welder and fitter
• Advanced knowledge of blueprints and welding symbols
• Must have demonstrated skill level of wire feed (M.I.G.) welding
• Must pass welder certification test
• Attention to detail

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Demonstrates the ability to follow/provide direction and work in a team environment.
• Problem-solving ability
• The mobility to navigate the manufacturing shop floor safely, with long periods of standing and walking.
• Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling can be expected.
• Long periods of standing and walking can also be expected in this position.
• Must carry 1 to 35 pounds intermittently: 35 pounds or more lifting device available

Work environment:

* Exposure to typical manufacturing areas is required and will require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection.

* Manual dexterity and mobility to move within the plant/area as assigned.

* Exposure to climate conditions must be able to withstand periods of heat and cold.
