Job summary

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart in Indianapolis, IN is hiring a Loader/Unloader. You will lift, weigh, and move medical waste containers, operate a forklift to load an autoclave, and help load the Washsmart system. You will ensure paperwork accuracy and maintain safety while working in PPE.

This is a full-time, first-shift role with stable hours. A valid driver’s license and ability to pass a 5-panel drug screen and background check are required. Teamwork and reliability are valued.

Qualifications

• Must have a VALID driver's license.
• Previous experience in a warehouse labor-intensive job with repetitive lifting 50–75 lbs.
• Willingness to pass 5 panel urine drug screening.
• Willingness to pass a 7 year background check.
• Basic math and ability to read/record weights accurately.
• Familiarity with weighbridge/scale systems.
• Comfort with repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in PPE.
• Proven longevity with employers.
• Can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lifting 55lbs bins and pushing a four-wheeled cart weighing up to 200lbs.
• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers.
• Load/operate the autoclave machine.
• Load the Washsmart system for container washing and sanitization.
• Provide attention to detail with container paperwork.
• Stand for extended periods and work well with a team.

We are looking to hire a Loader/Unloader for our Daniels' medical waste treatment facility in Indianapolis, IN. What will your job involve?

• Lifting 55lbs bins and push a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs
• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers
• Load/operate our autoclave machine (a pressure chamber to melt materials)
• Load the Washsmart system (container washing + sanitization system)
• Provide attention to detail with the paperwork required to process containers
• Standing for extended periods of time happily and comfortably
• Working well with a team!

What are we looking for?

• Must have a VALID driver's license!!
