Job summary

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is hiring for a Loader/Unloader at our Baltimore, MD facility. You will load/unload containers, weigh materials, operate autoclave and Washsmart equipment, and ensure accurate paperwork. The role requires standing long shifts, PPE, and teamwork.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers.
• Load/unload containers and weigh materials.
• Load/operate the autoclave machine (pressure chamber to melt materials).
• Load the Washsmart system (container washing + sanitization).
• Maintain accurate paperwork for each container processed.
• Stand for extended periods and work in PPE.
• Collaborate effectively with team and maintain safety.

We are looking to hire a Loader/Unloader for our Daniels’ medical waste treatment facility in Baltimore, MD. A Loader/Unloader has a widely varying role, from loading/unloading containers, emptying and washing our containers, weighing and checking in our containers.

• Lifting 55lbs and push a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs
• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers
• Load/operate our autoclave machine (a pressure chamber to melt materials)
• Load the Washsmart system (container washing + sanitization system)
• Provide attention to detail with the paperwork required to process containers
• Standing for extended periods of time happily and comfortably
• Working well with a team!
• Must have a valid driver's license!!
• Previous experience in a warehouse labor-intensive job (repetitive lifitng of 50lbs to 75lb containers!!)
• Basic math and ability to read/record weights accurately
• Familiarity with weighbridge/scale systems
• Comfort with repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in PPE
• Proven longevity with employers
• Can-do attitude!!
