Job summary

Daniels Health in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Loader/Unloader for its medical waste treatment facility. You will check in containers, verify paperwork, move and unload waste containers, and operate a forklift to load an autoclave.

The role requires lifting up to 55 lbs, standing for long periods, and working closely with a team in PPE. A valid driver's license, willingness to pass a drug screen and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Experience in a warehouse labor-intensive job with repetitive lifting of 50–75 lbs.
• Willingness to pass a 5 panel urine drug screen.
• Willingness to pass a 7 year background check.
• Basic math and ability to read/record weights accurately.
• Familiarity with weighbridge/scale systems.
• Comfort with repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards.
• Proven longevity with employers.
• Can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lift 55 lbs bins and push a four-wheeled cart weighing up to 200 lbs.
• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers.
• Load/operate autoclave machine.
• Load the Washsmart system for container washing and sanitization.
• Maintain attention to detail with required paperwork.

We are looking to hire a Loader/Unloader for our Daniels’ medical waste treatment facility in Indianapolis, IN. A Loader/Unloader has a widely varying role, from checking in containers, double checking paperwork, moving/unloading specific waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave.

What will your job involve?

• Lifting 55lbs bins and push a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs
• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers
• Load/operate our autoclave machine (a pressure chamber to melt materials)
• Load the Washsmart system (container washing + sanitization system)
• Provide attention to detail with the paperwork required to process containers
• Standing for extended periods of time happily and comfortably
• Working well with a team!

What are we looking for?

• Must have a VALID driver's license!!
• Previous experience in a warehouse labor-intensive job (repetitive lifitng of 50lbs to 75lb containers!!)
• Willingness to take a 5 panel urine drug screening
• Willingness to take a 7 year background check
• Basic math and ability to read/record weights accurately
• Familiarity with weighbridge/scale systems
• Comfort with repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards
