Job summary

Responsibilities include loading sequences, temperature control, and reporting discrepancies. CDL-B holder with DOT compliance is expected, with forklift certification preferred for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least one year of commercial delivery driving or loading experience preferred.
• Valid Class B CDL, DOT medical, and clean MVRO as required, unless designated otherwise.
• Ability to read route paperwork and verify items and quantities.
• Experience handling refrigerated and frozen foods preferred.
• Pallet-jack experience required; forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load delivery vehicles accurately and in the proper sequence.
• Verify product, quantities, route assignments, and paperwork before departure.
• Protect products during loading and follow temperature-control procedures.
• Report shortages, damages, or temperature concerns promptly.
• Secure loads and ensure route materials and devices are available.
• Drive local routes as backup when needed.
• Complete vehicle inspections, follow routes, provide customer service.
• Maintain clean, organized loading areas and equipment.
• Assist with shuttle freight, returns, pallets, and depot tasks.
• Operate pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment safely.
