Job summary

ADP, Inc. seeks a Loader/Swing Driver to accurately load Baltimore delivery vehicles, verify routes, and maintain safe loading areas. The role includes backup delivery coverage and requires accuracy, reliability, and safe material handling with the ability to adapt to changing departure needs.

Qualifications include High School diploma, at least 1 year in delivery/loading roles, valid Class B CDL, DOT medical cert, and ability to meet safety requirements. Forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least one year of commercial delivery driving, warehouse loading, cross-dock, or related distribution experience preferred.
• Valid Class B commercial driver's license, current DOT medical certification, and acceptable motor vehicle record required.
• Ability to satisfy all applicable DOT and company driver-qualification, testing, and safety requirements.
• Pallet-jack experience required; forklift certification or the ability to become certified preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load assigned delivery vehicles accurately and safely.
• Verify product, quantities, route assignments, stop sequence, and available paperwork before departure.
• Protect product during staging and loading with temperature-control procedures.
• Identify shortages, overages, damages, loading discrepancies, missing paperwork, or temperature concerns.
• Drive local delivery routes as backup when scheduled drivers are unavailable or more coverage is needed.
• Complete vehicle inspections, follow routes, provide professional customer service, and return paperwork.
• Maintain clean, organized route staging and loading areas.
• Operate pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Follow DOT, food-safety, workplace-safety, vehicle, and company procedures.
• Communicate loading progress and coverage issues to supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
