Job summary

R+L Carriers in Kearny, NJ is seeking an Outbound Operation Supervisor to oversee dock and dispatch activities. The role requires proven leadership in a fast-paced setting and involves coordinating drivers and freight handlers to ensure timely LTL dispatches.

The supervisor will ensure safety compliance, maintain quality handling procedures, and contribute to efficient service center operations in a full-time capacity at our Kearny site.

• Able to manage dock operations and coordinate driver/freight handler scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Lead outbound dock operations and dispatch activities.
• Schedule drivers and freight handlers for efficient loads.
• Ensure safety compliance during all dock processes.
• Maintain quality freight handling procedures and accuracy of dispatches.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Center Manager.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Driver and Freight Handler Management
• Coordinate Dock Operation and Driver/Freight Handler scheduling
• Ensure Safety Compliance
• Ensure quality freight handling procedures are followed
• Timely dispatching of LTL Loads
• Other duties as assigned by the Service Center Manager
• Candidates must have proven basic leadership experience.
• Must have the ability to lead in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong Organizational / Communication/ and Logistical skills with solid problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of quality freight handling preferred.
• Must have computer skills, and be proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of the City, and surrounding areas
• Prior LTL leadership experience is strongly preferred .
