Job summary

Kennebec Lumber Company is seeking a Loader Operator to join our yard and mill support team. You will load/unload trucks, service the mill, and keep the yard organized while maintaining inventory control and customer service excellence.

Working as part of the yard crew, you’ll follow Plant Manager standards, perform routine maintenance, assist with snow removal, and communicate effectively with fellow staff and vendors to ensure safe, efficient operations year-round.

Qualifications

• Experience operating loaders and yard equipment preferred.
• Ability to perform maintenance and daily inspections.
• Excellent customer service to customers and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain communication with yard staff to ensure smooth yard operation.
• Keep workspace clean and organized.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
• Sort and organize wood in the yard.
• Accurate documentation of all loads.
• Fuel equipment at end of shift.
• Participate in snow removal as directed.
• Perform other mill and yard duties as assigned.
