Kennebec Lumber, Co. is seeking a Loader Operator to load/unload trucks, service the mill, and help organize the yard. You will maintain accurate inventory, provide professional service to customers and vendors, and follow Kennebec Lumber Co. standards.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills and a safety‑minded approach in all weather conditions. Day‑to‑day duties include maintenance, data entry, and teamwork across yard staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in loading/unloading trucks and yard operations.
• Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and reports.
• Strong customer service orientation and professional communication.
• Good organization and safety-conscious approach on site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ongoing communication with yard staff and loader operators.
• Keep workspace organized and clean, including equipment cabs.
• Obtain supplies through proper channels.
• Demonstrate exemplary customer service to customers, vendors and visitors.
• Service the mill as needed and assist with loading/unloading trucks.
• Sort and organize wood in the yard.
• Maintain grounds and ensure accuracy of inventory.
• Document all loads accurately and complete daily inspection sheets.
• Perform preventative maintenance and fuel equipment at shift end.
• Communicate inventory, stain and yard issues with Plant Manager.
• Participate in snow removal as directed and perform other duties.
