Job summary

TMS International is seeking a Loader Operator to join our team in Axis, AL. You will perform physically demanding tasks, load our processing plant, and assist in construction and maintenance activities while ensuring safety procedures are followed.

The ideal candidate will have basic hand tool knowledge, experience with machinery, and the ability to work well in a team. On-the-job training is provided; only in-person work is expected.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a laborer or similar role is preferred.
• Must have mill experience and digging out ladle pits.

Responsibilities

• Load the processing plant.
• Load outbound trucks with slag and help deliver metal.
• Pressure wash and grease equipment.
• Provide all-around support when needed.
• Perform manual labor including lifting, carrying, and moving materials and equipment.
• Assist in construction and maintenance tasks.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• Follow safety procedures at all times.
• Maintain clean work areas and proper waste disposal.
• Load and unload materials to/from job sites.
• Perform general labor tasks and minor repairs as directed.
• Assist in site preparation by setting up equipment and materials.
