Job summary

Alpine Silica is seeking an Equipment Operator in Lamesa, TX. The role focuses on the safe and efficient operation of the Loader and other heavy equipment, with responsibilities including daily maintenance, safety checks, and following supervisor directions.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, a Class C Driver License, and a preference for at least 2 years of Loader experience. You will work in a plant environment with outdoor conditions and safety measures in place.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Possess Class C Driver License.
• Minimum of 2 years’ Loader experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Loader and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
• Understand and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area.
• Operate Loader controls to lower and tilt bucket and drive forward to force bucket into bulk material; Move lever to raise and tilt bucket when filled, or to dump material.
• Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the Loader.
• Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of the Loader.
• Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.
• Work in a safe, responsible manner to not injure oneself or others.
• Operate other heavy equipment and perform related duties as required.
