Job summary

Preferred Materials - Concrete Division, part of CRH, is seeking a Loader Operator who takes pride in safety, accuracy, and professional service in our Florida yards and plants.

You will safely operate loaders and forklifts, conduct pre-trip inspections, load block, rock, sand and other materials for delivery, and report issues to the maintenance team. Must be able to travel to other facilities as needed and work outdoors in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment.
• Ability to perform manual labor and related duties.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Pass pre-employment requirements (drug screen, background check, driving record).
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives building materials equipment within yard/plant per instructions and safety policies.
• Conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment.
• Operates loaders and forklifts to move materials for loading and delivery.
• Ensures quality and accuracy of loaded materials.
• Climbs in/out of equipment safely and follows heights policy.
• Loads building materials (block, rock, sand, etc.) for delivery.
• Reports issues and required repairs to maintenance team.
• Maintains clean and orderly work area and equipment.
