Job summary

SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) is seeking a Loader Operator to run heavy equipment and help move materials at our plant. You will load trucks, operate loaders, and work with a team to keep production on schedule.

We value safety, reliability, and teamwork. You’ll be expected to inspect equipment, follow safety rules, and adapt to weather conditions while contributing to a strong, community-focused operation.

Qualifications

• Experience operating loaders or willingness to learn.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Ability to perform basic equipment checks and fixes.
• Good communication and reliability.
• Able to work in all kinds of weather and stay active.
• HS diploma or equivalent is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to complete pre-employment screenings.
• Adherence to SRM’s 5 Principles of Service: Safety, Quality, Kindness, Cleanliness, and Go-Getter.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to move sand, gravel, and cement to keep concrete flowing.
• Load and unload trucks, hoppers, bins, and conveyors to ensure material availability.
• Collaborate with crew and production team to maintain schedule.
• Inspect equipment before/after shifts and report needed repairs.
• Follow safety rules and wear required gear.
• Keep work area clean and organized for safety.
