Job summary

APAC Central in Oklahoma is hiring for a field operator on our asphalt and aggregate sites. You will operate rubber-tired or crawler tractors with front-end scoops, load materials, and assist with daily inspections while following OSHA/MSHA safety rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• Experience or training in construction or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate rubber-tired or crawler tractors equipped with front-end scoop buckets safely and efficiently.
• Excavate and load materials from pit sites, stockpiles, and batch plants; load trucks as needed.
• Maintain a vigilant approach to workplace safety for yourself and your team.
• Lift materials weighing up to 50-100 pounds unassisted when required.
• Communicate clearly with co-workers, using hand signals and maintaining eye contact, especially when maneuvering equipment in shared workspaces.
• Adhere strictly to company policies and all OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe work practices.
• Follow direction from the Foreman regarding daily tasks and project expectations.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and minor servicing; elevate major issues to the Foreman.
• Complete daily pre- and post-operation equipment inspections, documenting findings according to company guidelines.
• Assist in training less experienced team members on equipment operation, service, and repair.
• Perform general labor duties as required to support site operations.
