Job summary

APAC Central Inc. in Oklahoma seeks an experienced equipment operator to join our field team. You will safely operate rubber-tired or crawler tractors with front-end scoop buckets, excavate and load materials, and help keep projects on schedule.

We value safety, reliability and teamwork. A high school diploma or GED is required, with construction experience preferred. Work is outdoors in varied weather, with opportunities to contribute to training and site operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate rubber-tired or crawler tractors equipped with front-end scoop buckets safely and efficiently.
• Excavate and load materials from pit sites, stockpiles, and batch plants; load trucks as needed.
• Maintain a vigilant approach to workplace safety for yourself and your team.
• Lift materials weighing up to 50-100 pounds unassisted when required.
• Communicate clearly with co-workers, using hand signals and maintaining eye contact, especially when maneuvering equipment in shared workspaces.
• Adhere strictly to company policies and all OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe work practices.
• Follow direction from the Foreman regarding daily tasks and project expectations.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and minor servicing; escalated major issues to the Foreman.
• Complete daily pre- and post-operation equipment inspections, documenting findings according to company guidelines.
• Assist in training less experienced team members on equipment operation, service, and repair.
• Perform general labor duties as required to support site operations.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involvingphysicalagility.
• Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height.
• Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs. as needed.
• Workprimarily outdoors, often in extreme weather andenvironmental conditions.
• Comfortableworking in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loudenvironments.
• Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely.
• Reasonable accommodations provided as necessary to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience or training in construction or related field preferred.
