Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Morrisville, NC is seeking an Equipment and Machine Operator to operate forklifts and front end loaders, supporting production while following safety policies.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience; ability to read loading slips and instructions; lift up to 70 lbs; work any shift; and contribute to a safe, efficient production line.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret loading slips, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and units of measure.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Able to carry out written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely to move product into inventory and onto/off trucks.
• Operate loaders to stock the production line with raw materials.
• Ensure proper rotation and placement of finished goods.
• Label and package products for inventory.
• Ensure packaging and pallet are safe and adequate for shipment.
• Load trucks with finished product for delivery.
• Complete daily paperwork including inspection reports for equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
