Job summary

Zachry Construction Corporation is seeking a Loader Operator to safely move and load subgrade and roadway materials, supporting plant operations and dirt work. Candidates should have 4+ years of heavy equipment experience, especially loaders, and be committed to safety and teamwork on site.

The role requires physical ability to navigate uneven terrain, climb ladders, and work with a crew to maintain efficiency and material flow.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience operating heavy equipment, including loaders.
• Proficient loader operation for material handling and site prep.
• Physical ability to walk on uneven terrain and climb equipment ladders.
• Knowledge of general construction and equipment safety procedures.
• Experience with other heavy equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a loader to move, load, and distribute materials.
• Support plant operations and general dirt work.
• Follow safety rules and project procedures.
• Conduct pre-shift inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality.
• Coordinate material flow with supervisors and crew.
• Perform tasks from extended sitting, walking, or standing.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.
