Zachry Construction Corporation is seeking an experienced Batch Plant – Loader Operator to safely operate a loader for plant and dirt work operations. The Batch Plant – Loader Operator will be responsible for moving and loading subgrade and roadway materials, supporting production operations, and ensuring all work is performed safely and efficiently according to company standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience operating heavy equipment, including loaders.
• Proficient in loader operation for material handling, subgrade work, and site preparation.
• Physical ability to perform assigned tasks, including walking on uneven terrain and climbing equipment ladders.
• Knowledge of general construction and equipment operation safety procedures.
• Experience with other heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, or dozers preferred.
• Dependable, self‑motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors to improve operational skills.
• Strong commitment to safety and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a loader to move, load, and distribute various subgrade and roadway materials.
• Support plant operations and general dirt work as assigned.
• Follow all required company and project safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct pre‑shift inspections and report maintenance needs or equipment issues.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and ensure proper functionality.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members to coordinate material flow.
• Perform tasks requiring extended periods of sitting, walking, or standing.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
