Job summary

CR Jackson, Inc. is seeking a Loader Operator and Asphalt Plant Team Member to safely operate front-end loaders, load trucks, feed asphalt plants, and move materials at our South Carolina site.

We value individuals with equipment operating experience who prioritize safety, work well with a team, and are able to work extended hours including nights and weekends. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating front-end loaders or similar heavy equipment.
• Experience in asphalt, aggregate, mining, construction, or related industries preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate front-end loaders to load trucks, feed asphalt plants, and move materials.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
• Stockpile, blend, and manage aggregates and other materials.
• Maintain safe traffic flow around plant and jobsite operations.
• Load materials accurately and efficiently while minimizing waste.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Communicate effectively with truck drivers, plant personnel, supervisors, and crew members.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with other plant and construction operations as needed.
• Use hand and power tools to complete general labor and maintenance tasks.

Loader Operator / Asphalt Plant Team Member

CR Jackson, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable Loader Operator and Asphalt Plant Team Member to join our team. This position plays a critical role in supporting asphalt plant operations, material handling, and construction projects by safely and efficiently operating front-end loaders and related equipment.

We are looking for individuals with equipment operating experience who take pride in their work, prioritize safety, and work well as part of a team.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate front-end loaders to load trucks, feed asphalt plants, and move materials.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance.

What We’re Looking For

• Ability to safely work around trucks, equipment, and active construction operations.

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb throughout the workday
• Ability to sit for extended periods while operating heavy equipment
• Ability to safely climb on and off equipment multiple times each day
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, dust, rain, and noisy environments
• Ability to work on uneven surfaces around active plant operations
• Maintain awareness of surrounding personnel and equipment for safe operations
