Job summary

C.R. Jackson, Inc. is seeking an experienced Asphalt Plant All-Round Equipment Operator to support day-to-day plant operations at our Columbia, SC site.

The role involves operating multiple types of heavy equipment, loading materials, maintaining stockpiles, and assisting with general plant operations to keep the plant running safely and efficiently. Qualifications

• Previous experience operating heavy equipment is required.
• Experience at asphalt plant/aggregate operation or similar industrial environment is a plus.
• Ability to safely operate multiple equipment types and adapt to changing plant needs.
• Ability to perform routine equipment inspections and identify safety concerns.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and around heat, dust, noise, and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate various types of heavy equipment around an asphalt plant.
• Operate equipment such as front-end loaders, skid steers, dozers, excavators, and other assigned.
• Load aggregate and other materials into plant feed systems.
• Move, organize, and maintain aggregate stockpiles.
• Load trucks and move materials throughout the plant site as needed.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain clean and organized equipment, work areas, roadways, and plant grounds.
• Assist plant personnel with general plant operations, maintenance, and cleanup as needed.
• Monitor surrounding personnel, equipment, and vehicle traffic while operating machinery.
• Follow all company safety procedures and plant operating requirements.
• Work effectively with plant operators, truck drivers, maintenance personnel, and other team members.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support plant production and operations.

C.R. Jackson is looking for an experienced and dependable Asphalt Plant All-Round Equipment Operator to join our team. This position supports the day-to-day operation of an asphalt plant by operating multiple types of heavy equipment, handling materials, maintaining stockpile areas, and assisting with general plant operations.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime when required by production.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record is required.
