Job summary

TMS International seeks a Loader to join our on-site team in Texas. The role involves operating wheel loaders, including Caterpillar or Komatsu, and performing daily pre-operation checks.

You will work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends, handling hot materials safely and maintaining equipment per safety standards. Responsibilities include routine maintenance, proper documentation, clear on-site radio communication, and immediate reporting of any safety issues or equipment

Qualifications

• Experience operating Caterpillar or Komatsu wheel loaders.
• Willingness to rotate 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends.
• Ability to safely handle hot materials such as slag and steel.
• Perform proper preoperational inspections and document findings.
• Maintain and assist with routine equipment maintenance (cleaning, washing, greasing).
• Maintain clear radio and on-site communication with teammates.
• Ensure equipment is safe and ready for daily use.
• Immediately report any unsafe conditions or equipment damage to supervision.

Loader Responsibilities

• Experience in operating Caterpillar or Komatsu wheel loaders.
• Ability to work rotating 12 hr. shifts Nights and Weekends included.
• Ability to work with Hot material such as slag and steel safely.
• Perform proper Preoperational inspection and write down findings.
• Conduct regular maintenance on equipment before and after use such as cleaning windows, washing, and assisting with greasing.
• Good radio and work communication with other employees.
• Ensure equipment is safe and prepared for daily use.
• Communicate any unsafe findings or equipment damage immediately to supervision.

Loader Qualifications

• Ability to work independently.
• Maintain accurate and organized records as required.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
• Valid Driver's License.
