Job summary

TMS International is seeking an in-person Loader to operate wheel loaders and support steel mill operations in Jewett, TX. The role requires handling hot materials and rotating 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends.

The loader will perform inspections, routine maintenance, and communicate safely with the team while ensuring equipment is safe and ready for daily use. A valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate Caterpillar or Komatsu wheel loaders.
• Perform preoperational inspections and document findings.
• Conduct daily/regular maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Maintain clear radio and inter-employee communication.
• Ensure equipment safety and readiness for daily use; report issues immediately.

Loader Responsibilities

• Experience in operating Caterpillar or Komatsu wheel loaders.
• Ability to work rotating 12 hr. shifts Nights and Weekends included.
• Ability to work with Hot material such as slag and steel safely.
• Perform proper Preoperational inspection and write down findings.
• Conduct regular maintenance on equipment before and after use such as cleaning windows, washing, and assisting with greasing.
• Good radio and work communication with other employees.
• Ensure equipment is safe and prepared for daily use.
• Communicate any unsafe findings or equipment damage immediately to supervision.
