Job description

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating equipment such as the Excavator, Mini Excavator, Skid Steer, Front End Loader, and Rough Terrain Forklift. The operator must learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work and use or operate work-related tools and equipment safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

1. Responsible for layout and fine grading.
2. Perform grading of stone/gravel.
3. Digs footings, foundations, and grade beams.
4. Complete trenching and pit excavations.
5. Perform finishing applications and hoisting tasks.

Job Requirements

Certifications

Must be certified to operate heavy equipment required for the role.

Physical Demands

• Ability to exert heavy physical effort, handling objects up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb, or crawl.
• Proficiency in handling equipment such as Forklifts, Backhoes, Excavators, Rollers, Dozers, Skid Steer Loaders, Track Loaders, and Rubber Tired Loaders.
• Ability to tolerate heights without fear.
• Ability to maintain balance during operations.

Minimum Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience with concrete batching in ready-mix or concrete paving.
• Technical training or related experience with concrete batching.
• Thorough knowledge of concrete batching technology, equipment, methods, and safety procedures.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
