Who You Are

The Loader Operator position is responsible for overall cleanliness/general housekeeping of the designated yard/location. By safe and efficient operation of a loader, this position’s responsibilities include but are not limited to feeding the crusher, moving material, loading customers, and working on the crusher alongside the crushing team, when necessary. Experience with general mechanics and fabrication is preferred. It is expected that this position works closely with the crusher operator to fix/maintain the constant operation of the crushing facility. This position requires flexibility and experience running equipment.

Loader Operator Duties

• Safe and efficient operation of front-end loader
• Maintain material feed to crushing operation
• Load customer’s as necessary
• Properly document fuel pumped from bulk tank
• Perform pre and post trip inspections
• Prepare Daily Inspection Reports
• Weekly and general vehicle maintenance (including but not limited to preventive maintenance, making adjustments, replacing minor parts and lubricating the loader where required and when necessary)
• Proper cleaning of loader inside and outside
• Plant/Yard maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned (to include but not limited to sweeping and other general cleanup work
• Understand and observe Carroll Concrete Company’s policies and procedures regarding customer relations
• Other duties as directed or as necessary
• Backup Dump Truck Driver/Dump Truck Driver
• Maintenance on plant equipment/buildings as necessary
  
  

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Skills

• Must be dependable, a team player and be safety conscious
• Must be able to deal professionally with plant employees and other drivers
• Common sense and good judgement and willingness to work
• Excellent defensive driving skills
  
  

Experience

• Previous experience working on a crushing facility is preferred
• Experience with general mechanics and fabrication is preferred
• Loader operating experience is preferred
  
  

Licenses and Certification Requirements: Valid Driver’s License

Restrictions

• Must be able to maneuver in and out of equipment safely
• Must be able to lift or maneuver up to 75lbs. multiple times throughout the workday
• Must inspect all areas of equipment and plant, daily
• Must perform plant maintenance
• Perform multiple tasks under stressful situations over long periods of time while maintaining proper composure
• Must be able to work flexible hours as necessary
• Perform multiple tasks of sustained viewing activity at rear of loader utilizing mirrors while driving and manipulating controls
  
  

Schedule: We guarantee 40 hours all year round! Voluntary layoff accepted. Must be able to work flexible hours as necessary. Some Saturday work required
