Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Atwater, CA is hiring a Manufacturing Associate to support packaging, crating, and shipping operations. You will operate forklifts, assist with inventory, and follow safety and quality procedures to protect parts during transport.

We offer full-time hours with overtime and weekend work as needed along with comprehensive benefits starting day one. Applicants should have a high school diploma and a year of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules in a manufacturing environment.

• Assist with inventory counts as needed.
• Support continuous improvement and waste reduction efforts.
• Read and follow posted schedules; perform other tasks as assigned.

Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Pay Rate: $ 20.50 - $24.00 per hour

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understands and follows safety rules and precautions in a manufacturing environment.
• Employs a range of crating and packaging resources, including metal bands and protective coverings, to ensure parts are securely fastened and safeguarded during transport.
• Proficient in operating forklifts and other lifting equipment.
• Responsible for each lift, deciding when to check actual vs maximum allowable trailer load.
• Assists with inventory counts as required
• Maintains practices for continuous improvement within the work area.
• Inspect work visually for defects according to Quality Systems
• Provide cost-saving suggestions and ideas to improve productivity and eliminate waste
• Willing/able to work overtime
• Ability read, write, and follow posted schedules
• May be assigned other projects or tasks by the team leader

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Valid Driver License
• A minimum of one year of related work experience in manufacturing or comparable work environment
• Good Communication Skills
• Basic Computer Skills
• Forklift experience a plus / Must be trainable on forklift
• Crane experience a plus / Must be trainable on crane
• Flexible with working overtime and weekends when needed
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment
• Some knowledge of a manufacturing environment
