Job summary

Carpenter Canada Co. is seeking a loader/unloader to operate in outdoor environments, handling liquid chemicals and unloading rail cars and trucks according to unit needs.

Responsibilities include safety checks, temperature measurements, and maintaining accurate logs of rail car movements. The role requires adherence to policies and punctual attendance in a rotating 4 on/4 off shift pattern after training.

Responsibilities

  • Loads rail cars and tank trucks with finished liquid chemical products.
  • Unloads EO/PO rail cars to the units
  • Unloads Glycerin and KOH trucks to the units
  • Scales and spots raw material cars for Chemical Blending and Operations
  • Complies a daily list of rail cars on Company property
  • Measures and records temperature of EO rail cars
  • Performs safety and fluid checks on rail car movers
  • Performs housekeeping and proper operation of loading equipment, Loading Control Center and loading sheds
  • Performs other duties as assigned; maintains excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Adheres to company rules and policies
  • NOTE: Individuals will be working the majority of the time outdoors. Individuals will be working a 4 on/4 off rotating shift schedule after training is completed and on shift position is available.
