Job summary

Pinsly Railroad Company is seeking a dependable unloading operator to support railcar unloading operations. The role requires following safety protocols, manual handling, and coordinating with logistics for timely schedules.

Responsibilities include inspecting and maintaining unloading equipment, recording railcar IDs and quantities, and communicating with supervisors about issues. A high school diploma and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb railcars, and work in various weather conditions.
  • Valid Driver's License Required.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Unloading Operations:
    • Operate equipment to unload product from railcars, such as pumps or pneumatic systems.
    • Ensure proper connection and disconnection of unloading equipment to railcars.
  • Inspection and Maintenance:
    • Inspect railcars for safety and cleanliness before and after unloading.
    • Perform minor maintenance or adjustments on unloading equipment as required.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Monitor quality during unloading, ensuring it meets company standards.
    • Document and report any discrepancies or contamination issues.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and spills.
    • Comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies regarding safety and handling.
  • Coordination and Communication:
    • Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely unloading schedules.
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding any operational issues or delays.
  • Recordkeeping:
    • Maintain accurate records of unloaded quantities, railcar IDs, and related documentation.
