Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Conducts day-to-day activities pertaining to burning (shrink-wrap), loading product for the shipping department, burning loading material correctly and efficiently. Effectively delegates workload to department personnel. Maintains a clean and safe work environment.

Essential Responsibilities

In addition to the responsibilities of “Order Burner/Loader”:

• Ensure designated equipment (forklifts, pickers, crane, hand tools, etc.) is in proper working condition.
• Communicate effectively with department supervisors.
• Visually inspect all material to identify non-conformances.
• Protect all material from potential damage during transit.
• Package material securely.
• Use Pick Ticket information to verify and record information on shrink-wrapped pallets.
• Match shipments to loading forms to ensure correct loading.
• Photograph loaded products for verification.
• Fill out pick tickets and forms accurately.
• Attend safety meetings to discuss issues and improvements.
• Identify areas for improvement while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

Material Verification and Documentation

• Visual inspection, markings match on shipment and Pick Ticket.
• Notify leads and supervisor of non-conformances and segregate non-conforming product.

Department Responsibilities

• Follow all QMS procedures and work instructions.
• Maintain safety by using PPE, attending safety meetings, and keeping work areas organized.

Qualifications

• Speak and read English; bilingual Spanish preferred.
• 1+ years PVF industry experience.
• Ability to read industry specs, charts, tables.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills; MS Word, Excel, Outlook preferred.
• Forklift certification and ability to operate equipment.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs. with back support.
• Ability to stand and operate equipment.
• Independent, detail-oriented, able to multitask.
